CLUB RUN SUNDAY 24 AUGUST 2014 - WHY DID THE CRAB BLUSH?
CLUB RUN SUNDAY 24 AUGUST 2014 - WHY DID THE CRAB BLUSH?
There's an old joke that was around when I was much, much younger (I can hear Dennis The Menace thinking 1930's? 1940's maybe?).

The joke went "Why did the crab blush?", to which the answer was "Because it saw the Queen Mary's bottom".
OK, it's pretty lame with the whole thing about a ship being called "Queen Mary", but, to lead into the Run details, big ships weren't the only things named after Her Majesty.
So, with that introduction, the lunch time destination for the Club Run on Sunday the 24th of August 2014 being the Queen Mary Falls should now be clear. The route we are going to take to get there will be over the old "Cedar Route" which is via Cunningham's Gap and some very small towns, then after lunch the twisties will get very twisty with a drive down the back mountain road to return us to the farewell stop.
Starting place will be the Harvey Norman car park opposite the Oxley MacDonald's, with a meeting time of 9.00am for a 9.30am departure. As per normal Club procedures a detailed Run Sheet will be sent via PM to all who put their names on the Roll Call below.
If there are any questions please PM me. For our "far-western" members who will be attending, once the Run Sheet has been distributed if you would like to nominate a join-up point on the route to save travelling east to just go back west again then please let me know via phone or PM. Looking forward to catching up with everyone at Oxley or on route.
PS: Again, for those Club members who attended the first and very successful Technical Director's Day at Scope's Workshop last year we will be holding the same day again this year as an additional activity at the end of September, so keep an eye out for the soon-to-be-announced date. Unlike last year it will be paid up Member's only - one of the benefits that comes with belonging to the Club.
ROLL CALL 1. Tralfaz and Run Manager - bringing the SW20 out to play with some new carbon fibre bits.
