Rear Cuts.

In the future I'd like to buy a rear cut most likely, and spend a long deal of time rebuilding the entire engine and whatnot for when the N/A one eventually(hopefully not for a long time) goes downhill.
Anyone can give me a general idea of the cost on a rear cut with an engine that needs rebuilding?

My 3/4 cut some years ago cost me about $6.5k, but it had all the extras with sugar on top
When i started looking to replace my NA, they were ranging from $2.5k to $5K. Not sure if they have increased or decrease in price of late.
Places likst Just jap or Prestige motorsports might be able to give you a rough idea on pricing if you wanted to import directly from Japan.

I doubt you'll find someone selling half cut with a stuffed engine. Kinda defeats the purpose of offering a half cut in my opinion.

I'd just prefer to find one with an admittedly mucky engine. I intend to rebuild it either way so may as well get one that needs rebuilding if I manage to find one.

Thanks for the links and places to look.
Has anyone done one of these conversions for and have any notes for difficulties that may arise?

Do a search here and on other forums, there a few guys here who have done their own conversion, ranging from standard NA to Turbo, to Beams and V6.

Yeah I'm not really interested in the v6 conversion. I wanted to keep it fairly similar.
