LET'S SEE MT MEE - PRESIDENT'S REPORT + MORE PHOTOS

We had a great Run last Sunday with spectacular weather and even more spectacular roads.

It has been somewhat colder than normal in Queensland in recent months. Our Spyders have been a bit thin on the ground during this time, probably staying home rugged up in their cosy garages under the doona. So, we gladly welcomed a new yellow ZZ30 owner, Johan, and his father Gert on the Run. This was apparently Gert's first time in an MR2 with a group activity that a Club like ours does so well.

After his normal daily Toyota FJ Cruiser ride to not need a ladder to climb up into his seat seemed to provide Gert with a welcome change at every stop.  Gert's stylish beanie also gave a pointer to other Spyder's about what to do on a cool winter's day when you have the top down.

Johan did extremely well for only having owned the car about 10 days, and as one of the other pictures shows there was a large crowd around the Spyder when we stopped at one time. We hope to see a lot more of Johan and his dad.

A complete reversal saw Rodger and his son Tom also on a Club Run for the first time, with people commenting that Rodger's immaculate stock red SW20 could give a certain member some competition in the best car category.  When asked if Tom was allowed to drive the SW20 Rodger's reply was straight to the point. Enough said. We also hope to see a lot more of Rodger and Tom.

It's great to see that we now have quite a few father/son teams on the Runs and perhaps the "passenger" father/son could be contemplating an MR2 purchase of their own in the near future?

D-VS of course had added another lot of after-market accessories to his red SW20 since the last activity but we are assured that he is not running out of space to put things. With the rumour that a fully race-optioned SW20 post-flood submersible has recently been discovered by D_VS and Eric even greater things are now expected. If the mud comes off of course.

I'd like to thank everyone who attended and it was tremendous looking back to see the cars stretched out in single file going through the corners. Don't forget the AGM this coming Sunday.
