Looking for a good SW20 I'd be checking this rare hardtop out.

I agree.  Surprised it hasn't been snapped up, especially being a hard top.  It's a good car.  Always looked after well.

It's probably that picture of Dudeman next to the post that is scaring them off. I have to say this, he is unbelievably ugly!

Seriously though, it is a wonder that no-one has snapped up this car. The hardtops are rare as Shaz says, and with the price rises we have been observing with the AW11's over the past six months or so, the SW20's in good condition like this one can't be far behind.

I guess it's just waiting for the right person to come along and see it. My 94 GT didn't sell overnight but found the right home in the end.

I've had no shortage of people making 'offers' without seeing the car, which have been declined. I had it on initially at a highish price as I wasn't in a rush to sell, now I have put it on at the other end of the price range (in my opinion anyway as far as condition and parts go). Not in a hurry to sell though, when the right person has a look they'll take it and enjoy it as much as I have.

Getting annoyed with the offers of swaps though! I wouldn't be selling the bloody thing if I was staying in Australia!

If I had my opens, I'd have jumped on this right away. It's a shame, so affordable and such a mad car

Hmmm...

Is this a privately imported car, or one imported by a dealership/sales yard?

Cheers.

I met the young bloke who imported it, he said he picked it out himself but I think he had his own company he imported it through. Not 100% sure obviously.

Don't suppose there is any chance of getting a photo of the import plate at all?

Cheers

Dont need a picture, just want a green compliance plate not yellow. Yellow is personnally imported.  Hence full vehicle inspection @ regency & all associated costs that go with it.

Graham, I can vouch for this car, I looked well over it at MTC 2015, Its a neat little example... if it didnt have so many, I wouldnt hesitate to add it to my collection.

My main concerns at this point is the lack of current registration and the colour of the compliance plate.  Small fry, maybe, but I do need to take them into account :)

I need something thats less of a hassle to drive daily than the Spyder currently is (even though its mental fun!)

Taking nothing away from the car but dont most buyers of Mr2  buy them for the t - tops ?  This could be why its difficult to sell a hardtop

I would prefer a hardtop as it has cleaner lines in my opinion.
