There used to be a bloke there called Aaron who was an MR2 nut. He was excellent and knew exactly what he was talking about.

Many of us have bought a lot of stuff from there over the years. Aaron doesn't work there anymore, i haven't bought anything from there since.

I did go to order six nuts there yesterday, six nuts, 87c each, postage was $45. I didn't make the order.

Purchased from them before as well without issue.
Amayama or North Shore Toyota NZ are just as good, probably cheaper for shipping.

I havent brought anything from them yet but have spoke to them trough email. The postage on the web site is not accurate, so best to contact them, what I wanted was a lot cheaper than what the web site said.

I have dealt with Lithia often, and found them very efficient, with good service.
If you can, best to order several items at once to save on shipping.
You'll first need to get the correct Toyota part no from somewhere like Toyodiy Parts and then check to see if they have it.

Aaron was good at Lithia, but they are still worthwhile plugging in part numbers to see what they are like.

They are expensive on shipping, so Amayama or NST might be cheaper in that regard, but in the case of us AW11 guys, they have a lot of USDM stock that they can move for cheaper than Japanese based companies can, so you might be surprised.
For instance, their engine overhaul gasket kit is over $100 cheaper than Amayama, so even with shipping Lithia comes out much cheaper.

What I find Lithia is also good for, is when you have a part number from your favorite online EPC site, go to Lithia and plug that number in, frequently the part has been superseded and the new part will be in stock for cheaper. You can then compare that part number with Amayama.

Amayama will give you the correct part number, but you need to place the enquiry first and wait for the reponse before finding out any difference in price. Makes it a lot easier if you have the correct, up to date part number to begin with, everyone gets a fair opportunity to quote you cheaper.

Where possible when prices are similar, I would recommend using Amayama. They have a presence in Australia and are committed to offering us Australians genuine parts for cheaper, even with local stock levels of common service items, so we should support them so they can continue to do so!

I recently bought a set of SW20 plugs and plug leads from Lithia, even with postage at $65 (put as much as you like in the box for the same postage costs) it was still 1/3 the quote from a Toyota dealer in Australia.

Do you have contact details for Amayama?

Aaron was giving all MR2oc.com, etc. forum members a discount of some sort, 10% I think. The discount issue came up after hearing that he had left Lithia, and someone on MR2oc.com stated that Lithia will continue to give discounts to anyone mentioning that they are an MR2 forum member. I would hope that might extend to you guys down under as well, but not sure. Lithia is based in Springfield, OR, I believe, and not far from the NW Toyota parts distribution center, so they can generally get all available parts quite quickly.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
