Lithia - credit card fraud

I remember that there used to be a thread on here about how a member ordered parts from Lithia and then a couple of days later had fraudulent transactions on his credit card. I can't find it though.
I have just had the same experience. I have never had this happen to me before and it seems a bit suss that the exact same things has happened to be directly after using my credit card with Lithia.
BTW the Commonwealth Bank were awesome at detecting it for me and providing great customer service to get it sorted.
I will be emailing Lithia to explain to them what happened. Just a FYI

Mr Glengineering.

I find it easier to just buy from Amayama, they have a much larger range of Toyota parts and the prices are epically cheap. Sydney based too.

You gotta try out North Shore Toyota in NZ as well. Cheaper then Amayama last time I bought some stuff.

Sydney based?? I had no idea, i really thought they were in Japan!!

A while ago I had some random email from Amayama from a bloke with an Indian sounding name - was asking for payment for some things which I had never ordered. Just looked through my email history and couldn't find it. But it was duly ignored and I never had another request.

I think i may have had this happen to me also!

Almost a year or so ago had some CC fraud from USA, same thing, commonwealth called me up, spotted it right away, canceled card what not, and i wasnt sure if it was random, or details stolen from an email, computer virus ect but, lots of things ordered from USA, some CC details on there website, paypal, some just text in emails ect.

Just looked it up, commonwealth contacted me less than a month from my order from Lithia, and i dont think there was much other USA orders around then, could be coincidence or not.

Cant remember what they bought, i think it was a test transaction, like 10c or something stupid in a textile shop in USA, Then i signed up to a dating website. Never got any dates tho.

    Hi Admin,
The thread you were after was mine. It also involved the CBA but they had blocked the Twos R Us website. I had also bought parts from lithia so that could be the link too. It could also be just coincidence. I hate to see problems being created for members and sellers alike and if there is a weak spot somewhere it'd be nice to fix it up.
