after having been to Melbourne one . I serious encourage those sitting on the fence to def take the plunge . I had a fantastic time.. dudeman made the tip down to Melbourne and so did another member of here ask them what it was like. have fun guys

I'm out, I would have really loved to make this one as I've been doing my best to get the adub on the road in time, but transmission issues have defeated me.
I was trying to get my old broken one installed that is stuck in forward gears, and use neutral and feet to reverse, but I've simply ran out of time getting the current transmission dropped (which doesn't go forward) and old one back in.
If it were on this Sunday I'd be in with a chance, but working long hours this week as well as flying interstate tomorrow leaves no time of an evening to finish the swap.
Will definitely make my best use of time to get the car running this weekend, but won't be in time for a trip to Sydney.

You have an sw20 and your taking a celica to the mr2 30th anniversary? ??? This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Was great to see 92 in Melbourne and deep inside a little hurt when I know we could have well and truly broke the 100 mark knowing that a fair few I know didnt make it down . Props to the guys who made the effort on flatbeds (widemr and dasic1) Have fun regardless. Cheers

Oh that's a real shame :( You're always more than welcome to attend without your MR2 if you have another way to get there Did you know if any other guys from the ACT were coming up?

I put it out there on the ACT MR2 facebook page regarding local meet times for a cruise up there, didn't really get any response. Kinda surprising considering how easy it is to cruise to syd and back in a day.
I also contacted the other local AW11 owners, all are busy or cars are in varying states of build too.
Would love to attend, but would love to get my car running even more, which is possible this weekend, so I'll keep plugging away at it.

It was, though I had an issue with my inlet valves so the head is off at the moment. I should have it ready to go back on soon though I have started doing some other work on the car at the same time. You know how it is - never ending. ;-)
