Was great to meet up with you too. Your car looked great on the track along with a hell of lot more speed than my little 'Pug'! Really enjoyed watching it fly past. Its such a great style of car to watch on the track.
I have some video footage which I will sort out in the next few days. I have some of you passing me so will load it up to your build thread. Its just a few snips but better than nothing.
I found the track was very poor after the second rain session. Just seemed very slippery in a few locations.
No more mod's until you manage a 1.12 on a dry day!

@ B24
Love to see some of your video footage.

I will arrange the tune with power FC & Boost controller install soon before the next track say.

Few other things would like to do soon....
1. wider tyres, found 205/225 are bit narrow for track use
2. New set of coilovers with higher spring rates (found the BC bit soft for my liking).
3. some weight reductions, was also thinking of changing a single centre exit muffler to replace the twin bulky/heavy phoenix power mufflers.
4. Bucket seats with harnesses
and hopefully would help me to get into the 1.10 zone.

Contact Greg Nolan at Spax. He will look after you with a excellent set up which you will not need to change again.
Better get on to that footage!

28/6/2014 - MR2 30th Anniversary

This was the first MR2 club event that I attended and had a really good time!

Surprised & shocked when I received this trophy at the end of the event. I am sure there're some better modified SW20s than mine. Thanks and look forward to attend more club events in the future.

and thanks to Jaemus for some nice photos

Aren't you glad now that I convinced you to enter the car in the show and shine? :)

Well done Steve, look forward to catching up again at some future events!

Took the car to Wakefield Park again on 19/7/14, this would be one of the coldest track day I ever attend. It was 0 degree when I arrived in the morning.

After 2 sessions, I had some issues from the car;
1. Exhaust made some loud popping when I decelerate (from 4th gear back to 3rd) on the high RPMs
2. Similar to above, when I downshift from 4th back to 3rd gear down the main straight, the back of the car tilted/twist a bit and few times that I almost lost back tractions.
3. The EBC was set@ 1.1bar, even the main straight was only managed to hit 0.9 bar (13psi) and the boost was  slowly creep up after 4500 rpm.
4. The left hand side driveshaft had a tiny leak, probably needs new seal.

So did another 2 laps on the 3rd session and decided to finish early on the day and managed exactly the same lap time as last time in wet - 1.14

Its great to see another mr2 on the track! Do you think you will make the next circuit club day? If my car is ready I'll be there.

Fixed the leak of the driveshaft, still try to figure out the boost issue and loud popping noise under high rpm deceleration. Send me a PM if you are going on the 6th September. I will get my car ready soon.

Small Update:
Attend some club cruise last year & the MTC 2015. The MTC was great fun and it's my first time see so many MR2 on the same track! Had the boost issue on the track day. Boost were up to 0.86 bar and won't up any further?
I'd changed a new O2 sensor late last year and it actually stop the loud exhaust popping under up/down shift

Here are some pics (Either from other members or AO graphics)

Hey Steve, somehow I completely missed this thread until now! Now I realise that this thread already has the answers to all the questions I asked you in the last 6 months or so haha.

There is an extensive build thread for my car here: http://www.mr2australia.com/mr2play/tm.aspx?m=18316

Quick update:

Attend a great track day at Wakefield on Monday (5/10/15) with 3 other SW20 drivers (robk, MR Plow & Fast Eddie). It's been a fun/hot day. I had the same boost issue since beginning of the year at MTC, all day seeing the highest boost at 11.6psi. I was glad that I finally cracked my PB - 1.13.63 with the low boost issue & 32+ degree hot day. It took me 5 track days (since June 2014) to achieved this new PB from the previous 1.14.66.

Another thing that I was happy with was the recorded times seems pretty consistent through out the day,

1st timed session - 1.13.89
2nd timed session - 1.13.69
3rd timed session - 1.13.63

Besides robk (had silicon joiner issue), other two drivers also achieved their PB on the day and most importantly that 4 of us managed drive home safely after the 'HOT' drive day!

So for regularity you will nominate a 1:14?

to be safe, maybe 1.15. The Advan AD08R starts loosing grip after 4-5 hot laps.
