AW11 Warning Lights

The Charge warning light and the Enging Cooling Fan light came on suddenly last night.  I'm pretty sure the battery is not charging as the voltmeter was reading lower than normal.  I was able to drive home with no problems.  I'm thinking it may be a fuse or circuit breaker somewhere.

Anyone else experienced this problem and what it the likely cause?

Thanks in advance.
Peter

I think from memory it is an alternator issue when that light comes on...

Sounds very much like your alternator is going. This is quite common.

Yep, as above, classic signs of the alternator "joining the choir invisible".  Be thankful, on the AW's alternator removal is relatively painless.

    Thanks everyone.

I have a new one in a box I was going to fit over Christmas as a pre-emptive strike.  I obviously wasn't quick enough.

Alternator replaced (just over an hour's work) and problem gone.

Thanks all for your help.  It was curious though why I didn't get the brake light as well.  Funny little cars!

    Cheers
