SW20 Seat Belts
Hi All, A search on "seat belts" turns up heaps of results. However none seem to answer my question. Can anyone confirm that Toyota Australia genuine ADM seat belts will fit a 1990 JDM SW20? I asked Toyota Australia and they don't know??? At $378 each I don't want to buy them and they don't fit. Yes I know I can get aftermarket cheaper but it's one item I don't want to skimp on. Thanks Colin

The belts will bolt in to the car no problem, the difference may be with the bit that inserts into the buckle as there were some differences there - not sure if it was JDM/ADM or by year models though

What is wrong with the ones you have? If it's just the webbing it can be replaced. The is a place called seatbelt king, I think he is in Braeside .

Dasic1: I actually replaced the JDM ones with new aftermarket ones(purchased in Aust) sometime back. I've never been happy with them and it bugs me, so I just want to have a reasonable level of confidence when I buckle up.

I too like 'Col' have a JDM mr2 with new aftermarket seat belts installed - all I can say is they are crap... constantly locking, takes ages sometimes to get the seat belt to come out, (fighting the locking mechanism) - it is ultra sensitive. That being said, they work perfectly when buckled up yet just annoying getting to that stage. Cant beat the original units IMO.

Hey Guys, I thought I would do a final wrap up of the seat belts. ADM seatbelts fit perfectly into a 1990 JDM, no issues at all. part numbers - Black right hand side: 73210-17102-CO : A$ 377.35 - Black left hand side: 73220-17102-CO : A$ 377.35 - Seatbelt buckle: 73230-17077-222: A$ 61.50 (each) So the total cost for both sides is A$ 877.70 The parts have to come from Japan. I ordered them on 12 March 2014 and they arrived on 15th April 2014, so plan ahead. Now that I have them, I hope I never need them. Cheers Colin
