SYD: 1994 Gen3 Hardtop Turbo

Selling my '94 Hardtop GT-S.  Now on gumtree!

Built by Paul Brell (BD4s, Boss Tuning), this car was previously owned by a doctor named Raymond who I believe is known to some members of the NSW MR2 club and this forum. The car is HKS-02R, the street tame sister car to HKS-01R - http://autospeed.com/cms/title_MidMount-Magnificence/A_1789/article.html

Engine / Drivetrain / Exhaust:
JE forged pistons
Garrett GT25/40R turbo with a 4" intake
HKS Super Drager exhaust with custom made screamer pipe
HKS 264 cams
HKS adjustable cam gears
HKS FCON-V ECU
Exedy HD brass button clutch (replaced about 9,000kms ago)

Suspension & Brakes:
Cusco coilovers all round (installed around 5,000kms ago)
Braided brake lines
Big slotted AP racing brakes up front
DBA slotted/drilled at the back

Interior:
Custom gauges & shift light
HKS EVC boost controller
HKS turbo timer
Custom black leather with red stich seats
3-point racing harnesses for both seats
Genuine Toyota leather gear knob & boot with red stitching (http://i.imgur.com/QKq79XG.png)

Last dyno put it at 321rwhp, roughly 240rwkw.

The car was built by people far more knowledgeable than I, so since I bought it I've changed practically nothing about the build. All I've done to it is replace the clutch when it went, replaced the suspension when one of the old coilovers died, plus replace the chrome gear knob with the one mentioned above.

The car has around 150,000kms on the chassis, but the engine has far less. Around 50,000km I believe.

I'm looking at selling it because it deserves a better owner and I could probably put the cash to better use. It just doesn't get driven like it should. For the past few years I've driven it once or twice a month, if that. My commute to work sees me driving around 500km/week so my other SW20, an N/A Bathurst, is my daily (going strong at 310,000km on the clock) and it more than suits my needs for now.

I'll add some photos tonight, but for right now you can see a couple of thumbnails in my old thread here: http://www.mr2australia.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17510&whichpage=1

EDIT: Photos here: http://imgur.com/a/D1QBO

I'm in Sydney, and the car has rego until May.. I'd probably be looking for around $12,000 but the price is negotiable.  Car will be sold with a pink slip so the new owner doesn't need to be concerned about upcoming rego.

Hi mate, sorry I jumped online to upload the photos and went offline again so I missed your post earlier.

I'm actually going to be away for the next 11 days or so, so it'll have to be sometime after that.  Apologies for that.. I didn't expect to receive such an instant response to this post.  Hope that's alright.  I'll post here and PM you once I'm back.

    Cheers

Being a hardtop i'd think it was real.

Only reason I ask is the dash is from an NA and the fenders have the gen 2 toleberone indicators

    +1 (1)
The toblerones were on JDM models until the Rev 5 in the late 90s. The dash is weird because it is from a non-JDM, but being a hardtop it can only be JDM. Hardtops were NA and turbo.

Basically the facts at hand are not going to tell you whether it is a turbo conversion although being a hardtop, the odds are better than average.

    Hi Morris
Chris again, mate sorry to be a pain but I'm not sure if my PM is working. I have PM'd you twice - but my send box doesn't even register a sent message. I've sent a post to the administrator as I'm not sure if there is a problem. Could you please try PMing me again or perhaps posting something here to confirm? Thanx+
