Koya Drift Tek wheels
Has anyone tried these wheels on their MR2? I'm interested on their thoughts on them, and seeing some pics of them fitted to the car. Any feedback is appreciated.

There was someone on here from NSW who had them in black on a red car I think. Can't remember who tho.

The problem with a lot of the cheaper rims is the build quality and the weight in them. I just changed over to a stock wheel over my 17 inch cheapos and the difference is amazing. Now I am changing to a set of gtr rims which are a lot lighter. Don't make the same mistake I did and buy the cheaper option

I'm just looking for a cheap alternative to my stock wheels. I'm trying to get a Beams half cut, and the budget doesn't stretch that far unfortunately. What cheap wheels did you have?

I had Versus Zenkais 17x8 +15 rear and 17x8 +35 front with a 3mm slip on to clear coilovers (sw20) My new setup is still very "on a budget" (I am a uni student so I am excellent at this ;) I bought a full set of R32 GTR wheels in fair condition for $410. They have some minor rash but nothing that cant be sanded out. If you are on a budget I would strongly recommend getting a pair of 32 GTR wheels for the rear (16x8 +30) and a pair of 32 GTST (16x6.5 +40?? ) wheels for the front. You can buy a good pair of GTST wheels for under 80 bucks As for tires, They are harder to find in a 16" for the two, but Nexen N6000's come in the correct sizes and are a mid range tyre. Here is a GTR and GTST combo So if we do a rough pricing Pair of GTR wheels: $200 - $300 Pair of GTST wheels: 6 pack - $80 205/45/16 N6000 - $120ea 225/45/16 N6000 - $155ea Total: $830 - 930 spend 60 bucks on paint and sandpaper and you will have a Honestly trying to find a replacement setup of decent tires and quality lightweight wheels would be extremely difficult Hopefully this helps

Hi mister_two, thanks for the offer, i had already had a look at those, but unfortunately, not really what i'm looking for. I think i'm looking for a 5 spoke wheel in 17x8 & 17x9. Or Enkei RP03's or similar...

No worries Rick. Good luck with your search and as what PETE and Eric wrote I would personally get a set of good quality light weight Japanese made wheels. The replicas and cheap wheels are very hit and miss and in some cases dangerous.

Hey Darren (mister_two), What wheels are you running on your car? Are your cars pictured in the showroom, or anywhere else? Eric, What did you think of your Versus Zenkais?

Hi Rick,
My GT-S is running VOLK TE37 17 x 7.5 / 17 x 9.5 and my G-Limited is running on some cheap 16-inch wheels which I plan to replace once my tyres are worn to either the STICH wheels I have for sale or my ADVAN SA3R wheels I have laying around.
Both my cars are in the showroom section of the forum however you might have to go through a lot of pages or use the search function to find my threads. I haven't updated the thread in years :).

Hey Rick
They looked good from a distance but up close you could see how cheap they were. They are extremely heavy too which made my steering even heavier

What is everyone's thoughts on Lenso D1R's as a budget wheel? Has anyone had experience with them?
