Love the colour :)

I hope to do something like this one day, except keep it more.. street legal..ish.

I'll probably look into it once I forget how agonizing it actually is. Looks good though mate, any idea's how much it weighs now?

Im not sure on the weight as I dont know the starting weight. I have kept a record of the weight reduction which is close to 290kg. I can save more (50kg+) but it will start costing to much money I prefer to spend elsewhere at this stage.
Its not that hard a project to do. I would highly recommend either bead blasting or dipping the chassis as a first step. IT does cost a few dollars but the time saved in the build far outweighs the cost.
It will take a week at 8 hrs days to seam weld the chassis, cut and weld the cage in then trim all excess metal brackets.
You can then paint the chassis the next week then start the fit out.
The lexan is a days work.
The wiring is a weekend work if you use a aftermarket dedicated ECU as the base. Allow three weekend for a piggy back system.
Suspension fit up takes a day but like most aspects there is plenty of 'thinking time' ! working out new ways to do things.
If I had more funds($$$ and time) it would be done in 6 mths from start to finish.

I am happy with the colour and will keep it as a base with the paint scheme being very similar to this one

You will have no trouble Rory! I picked up a 'Cobra revolution' race seat on Friday which looks a treat. It has the helmet wings! IT does look cool. It also came with aluminium mounts so seat relocation will be a process..But it has been fitted pretty much on the floor and with enough room for you to have a run. Getting in and out is the hard bit. If I didnt have the quick release wheel it would be near impossible to get in and out with out dislocating bodily joints!
I fitted the AVCR today. Wiring really is quite time consuming process which I can do with out but it will be pretty much completed with the car running tomorrow.

I think the paint will really set the car off. I would love to have a set of those wheels on the Ferrari too,but that will have to wait.

regarding video, I will see what I can do this weekend. The lights will be wired this weekend along with finalising the intercooler.

Over the last two weeks, its not progressing at the rate I would like but not too far to go. I start at Circular Quay today,so time for building cars will be reduced to weekends.
We (the sparky and me) are changing a few wiring issues which will be completed this weekend. The car is running but there are a few little issues to resolve.
Im running a primitive looking gauge assembly until I update next year. Its simple but effective.
Hopefully the RCA's will be fabricated this week(35mm adjustable)so the wheels can go back on. I also fitted all new super pro bushes on the car as the rose joint system was too much at the moment.
Mabey paint this weekend. Depends if I can prep the car by Saturday. If not it will 100% next weekend.
Here are two pics from last week.
One pic shows the fabricated aluminium radiator duct which will exit through the bonnet.
The second it to show off the new seat!
