Yes, I am using the 1 7/8 pipe as it matches the ports. The 1 3/4 is too small. The heads have been flow tested, all measurements sent to the right people custom camshafts fabricated with this being the end result including exhaust.
I am sure it will be good enough for a old MR2 chassis!

I would put money on 1 3/4 making the same peak power with a broader power band than 1 7/8.  All it needs is a merge from port size to down to 1 3/4 over about the first 3 inches.

With the MR2 Trackday getting a little too close for comfort I have been working madly to get my car finished and running for the event. It simply never ends but it is get very close to the day when the car will live again!
The interior received yet another little touch up along with numerous other parts. It will be at the Exhaust specialist on Monday then its off to Melbourne the following week for the wiring.
Intake will be ready for install in a week or two.
A few pics of some of the work.

Yes, there are two being built. He is a great person to deal with. Wish I had bitten the bullet 12 months ago but that's how life is.

I'm working on being in Melbourne in a week or two for the wiring. Charlie's friend is doing the wiring on my car and the second loom for the second engine.

Yes, will be visiting Troy very soon then its off to Shane Wilson for the tune.

Unfortunately I didn't get everything done today so I am a day or two behind but I will push through to have the car running in the very near future.

Thanks Trav,
Its getting there. Still suffering from the delay on the engine build but pretty focused on having it ready for MTC2016. I will run the car on a few test days before MTC but MTC will be the first key event for the car. Certainly looking forward to driving in 2016. Chances are, I will compete in a few round of iRace, a few Eastern creek practice days and a few track days. Wakefield 300 is a possibility but depends on timing, co driver and team to help make it happen.
The exhaust is completed with 1 3/4 to 1 7/8@700mm, velocity merge collectors, 600mm secondaries with a 3" cannon. I suspect it will be a little loud with lots of fire!
Manifold is ready for pick up on Saturday then driving to Melbourne where Troy will perform his magic.

After a usually large amount of pain, the car is almost ready.
The wiring was completed in Melbourne then all the software and glitches were solved by WideMR. He is clearly of legend status and deeply thank him for his support
After a few days in Melbourne, the car has been delivered to Adelaide for final prep before tuning. Still not without its glitches but did manage to fix enough to actually start the engine.
Very pleased with results, sounds just incredible.
Full run in and tune will be in a few days.
