I will add some more over the next few weeks. I need a cover made up to reduce the air flow at the rear wing. Not sure if it will make a difference, but that's the plan.
This is how it currently stands.

I spent a few hours on the wiring yesterday. Its almost there but it will be change yet again as I don't like the switch layout or the mess behind it. The existing switch panel will change but unlikely before the trackday challenge. As long as its reliable, its the way it will run for the time being.
Also sorted the air lock in the water injection so its all working fine.
The old Blitz boost gauge has been removed.
Naca ducts are on their way. 
Will be working on it every afternoon unit all the boxes are ticked.
 

 
 

The car is almost ready now. Spent plenty of time over the weekend with the end clearly insight.
The tank has the new wiring and the seat has a new mounting which is 20mm higher. Still 50mm head clearance.
Also moved the seat back by 40mm which has improved leg room.
There are a dozen other bits completed too but will not bother with details.
Also discovered my rear bar is a genuine TOMS SW20 rear bar. What are they worth? Im thinking of taking the whole kit off before I destroy it! All DuLuck/Pheonix and Toms.

Finally have some decent news.
The ecu has been removed and replaced with a Haltec then tuned by Hitman at Race Solutions. We spoke on the phone tonight after completing the tuning.
The wastegate is now managing boost the way it is meant to. Boost is set at 1.1bar/16lb at 8000rpm.
He ran to 8000 all throughout the session with no vibration issues. This was a concern for me.
Power is 230rwkw with a exact figure when I pick up the car tomorrow afternoon. Will also see the torque figure/powercurve etc. No doubt I can run a more aggressive program for more power but its best to just get the hang of what I now have before any increases in power. Still, it would be great to see what would happen with better fuel, more dwell and boost, but this is the smarter way to go. The S15 of Anthony Soole runs a 1.05 on slicks/230rwkw/1200kg so this is my goal but a 1.06 would be enough to keep me happy.
The intercooler was an issue as the set will work ok on the track but on a dyno it is limited so there were heat concerns.
He didn't push the coils. He was talking of a 2.1ms dwell time. This is expected to keep breakdown of spark to a minimum.
So its running with enough power to break any time I have done in the past and will be reliable for the Wakefield 300 which I have a confirmed entry for in 2014. There were 90+ entries with mine in the first 10.
I will be taking the car to Wakefield on Saturday night for a drive on Sunday. If I can get there earlier for second run, I will be there.
 
 

Btw, what prompted the move to Haltech?

Yes Anthony has been building it for a few years now. It is meant to be almost ready but keep having engine failures. The S15 seems to be running well right now with some good results coming through. It was certainly moving around a lot in the Wakefield 300 earlier this year. He also managed entry into the 2014 race. At least this time we can enjoy some door to door racing as we will be on the same pace. Chances are, we will be running the Kuhmo or Pirelli Slick.

Matt didn't tune the car, Maroon did. He is a great guy with plenty of patience and skill. I now understand that the orginal 'hitman' is not there but replaced by Maroon.
Compared to the rubbish I was dealing with last time round, he is light years ahead. The last tune did not exist and the power sheet may have been a fraud based on the response from the tuner and custumers who have come over from the last guy.
I changed to Haltec as is has a wider range of people who deal with the produce and a huge support service. The ECU is a far quicker, has real time logging and dozens of other advantages. I feel the original unit was simply inefficient for my application. It took too long to make adjustments then load up, I could not see many things required to tune it safely. It may work well as a piggy back, but no as a stand alone unit. Being the basic unit, these restriction may be expected. I have no doubt the higher end ECU would be adequate but to stay with this tuner with on going support, a Haltec was the smartest move.
I'm trying to get him along to he trackday to help with trimming the tune but yet to see if this will be a reality. 

Very true. he Said there was a issue with power as it should be closer ti 260. Turns out the timing is out. Was simply overlooked but still has enough to get out there and enjoy some solid driving.
After the trackday I will reset the timing then have it tuned again.
Looking forward to a Sunday drive at Wakefield. This weekend! Can't wait.

As you have said, at least its 1 less thing to stress over at the track, more time to organise and more time to soak up the atmosphere and have fun.
 
Does this mean you would like a hand pushing your car onto the track for photo shoot again
