It a relief when u get news your engine held together well.  Chances are it will but its good to get the news isn't it.  Silly me hung about while mine got done, that was interesting.

Good work and great news, going to be hard waiting til mon and to get it on the track again.

And you should be able to count a little faster than previously too.

I'm just writing heaps of letters to Santa hoping to get a 2GR SW20 for Christmas. He did write back telling me i would have to arrange my own sleigh as OHS now prevents reindeers from pulling over 1050kg.

Well, Im hoping you make it too. Been a long wait friend.
A friend thinks the engine will hit 450+ at 1.4. Not sure how that will look coming on boost mid corner at 150kph but it could be fun. But I do like the idea of wheelspining like its a wet track through third and fourth, but its dry

The engine is working well with 253rwkw/1.2bar/safe timing/lots of fuel/7100rpm. It was still producing power but was stopped due to heat sink and a doggy coil pack. Very happy with the result.
Alternator needs to be moved to the oem location as im frying wires causing shorts, the isolator switch failed causing reliability woes. Glad this was discovered yesterday at Wakefield.
Power delivery was excellent even though I couldnt use more than 75% throttle at best due to some issue. It felt completley different to the old engine so it was worth all the pain to get it back on the track.
Closer ratio gearset works very well for Wakefield. Im in a better rev range off the corners. When I can attack at full strength it will be a absolute weapon off the corners.
KW coilovers are the amazing. Im running 11kg/12kg but they feel so smooth. Another plus.
Brakes needed a decent bleed and I didnt have fluid so I couldnt push but still, I was cruising around the 1.12 mark which was very easy to do. Brakes were at 50% capacity.
Such a great car to drive with a low powered engine but with this package now, its complete.
Will have some footage up soon.
Was great to spend the day with Peter and Ian. Thanks for your help!
Ian runs a Red SW20 in the 1.12's. Pretty damn quick when he is lucky to have 80rwkw!
Peter will have his 3.5ltr SW20 track weapon on track later this month. Looking forwad to this one.

Also, the car is now offically entered in the Wakefield 300 in March. Will be in Division 2 looking for a top 10 finish, top 5 would be better. Would be great if we could gain some support on this one too.

Thanks Josh.
The electric water works a treat but Im not pushing the car at all. Water is 85. Oil is very good too at 75.
The dash is very good too but it I have to read a little more to get the most out of it. I have a lot coming up on the dash, but would be nice to have intake temps.
Will be working on the electrics this weekend.

Congrats Steve. Exactly the kinda numbers I forecasted. Take it easy on that fresh motor though. It can't be run in properly yet. There's a lot of different opinions re run in, but I'm honestly not a believer in pumping a fair amount of boost through it in its early life. Tristan did the same with one of his engines & paid the price later down the track.

What ratios did you end up switching around between the Camry and MR2 boxes?

Thanks Jay,
Was a long time coming but finally made it. The tuner did spend a lot of time with the car on the dyno and stated it was comlpetely OK to have a go but I didnt go over 6k with most running at 5k. Im expecting to do 1k maximum a year so if it lasts 5k, I had a pretty amazing 5 years of driving. Still, Im very happy with the figures based on the fuel and rpm.

I used MR2 1st and 2nd with Camry V6 3rd,4th,5th. One of the forum members from Qld was very helpful with setting the box up. It also has a 4.5 final drive.
