Good news the car is running but the bad new being this damn clutch. IT looks like the stroke of the slave cylnder is too short to engage the clutch plus being a new import slave cylinder from the US, it leaks! A longer slave cylinder engaement pin will be made tomorrow night which will solve the SS issue as half the pedal stroke is used to bring the SS up to the point of engagement with little lef to engage the clutch. It will also shorten the stroke of the pedal which will be ideal.
Not really having a great time at the moment with the changes. It has cost me enough money and time to buy a brand new twin plate which will work with no probelms first go. Well its not too bad as it has been a pretty successful build aside from the clutch.
So now is work on it every night till the B12 to get it there.
One thing I will be doing at B12 is putting it on the scales to see if all the greif was worth it.
And the passenger harness has been fitted with the passenger seat fitting on Monday night.
Should be an eye opener!

I am not sure if I completely understand what you seek to do with the lengthened slave pin. Just make sure you aren't applying pressure to the diaphram with the clutch pedal released. If you are you'll probably be finding yourself going through throwout bearings quite often. Also, it may cause the clutch to slip. I know you've got some form of pedal box, I assume it drives the clutch as well. You cannot get enough adjustment out of this?

Well I have decided to give the 5.5 a miss for a few reasons. but the Lotus team running at Wakefield Park confirmed my decision stating it really only works well with open wheeler application as well as simply requiring way too much maintenance to justify running it in a MR2.
EVO65 was kind enough to sell me a clutch he has lying around which I will fit to the car on Monday/Tuesday.
At least it will be reliable and running for a change

The brass button is now in the car and ready to go.
Expect to be taking it for a run in a week or two at Wakefield on an open day or the Toymods track day.

Just made it home from a day at the track with mixed results. There seems to be an electrical issue which I hope will be resolved by next week.
I didnt have time to fit the Southwest Links but will have these fitted in the next week or two. Will also be tightening up the rear crossmember to eliminate any movement as everytime I remove then re install it, the settings change so this needs to be addressed.
I managed some footage from out of the car with possible in car footage ready by next week.
