The titanium pistons are usually pretty easy to spot, as the whole piston isn't made from titanium, usually it will just be the tips of the pistons that come into contact with the pads. You can tell pretty easily, as shown on the brembo caliper on the left, as opposed to the AP caliper on the right:

If the caliper pistons have the titanium inserts in them, the backing shims for the pads won't be necissary.

Finally picked up the front tie rod links to all but remove bump steer on the MR2.
The goal was to have the links follow the line of the lower control arm but looks like I have made these 5mm too short to suit the 32mm RCA's. I can move to a smaller RCA to correct it but first try it out to see what happens.
This pic is the comparison between the first upgrade and my new high tensile custom units. These are a harder steel than the orginal units.

This is the before and after shot of installation. The changes are obvious. Was pretty excited when I picked these up then installed this afternoon.

Also received the new inlet flange for the plenum. Now this was quite a little gift too!
More information on the build is also found in the Engines / Exhausts / Gearboxes / Differentials
thread.

I know! Even recieved a phone call about it. What is going on there?
If you look around at Jim Richards' muscle car master Ford, the same can be found. Also Rick Shaw's nurburgring 24hr car, Steve Anslow RX7 FD V8, Bosenjacks record holding RX7 FD to name a few.

It will not break or bend due to the materials and my bump steer will be at a very comfortable level. If anyone wants a set, just drop a line.

Received the braided clutch line, slave cylinder and AP clutch shim plate today so when I return from Canberra, will refit the clutch and gearbox. Wont be running at EC this week but will get out for a run in a few weeks.

Hi Steve,
I'm keen on a pair. What kind of $$ are we talking about? Just give me a range at this stage if you haven't worked it out yet.

Thanks

If you are looking at the drop links, ball joint and sleeve, it will cost about $350
Thats CroMo drop link and 6061 sleeve
If you need RCA's I can sort these as well. They are about $350.

Cheers
