I know! I read through the manual the other day to find out the correct setting. Once I checked this against the setting in the car it all became apparent how far off the mark it was! I should have taken a picture.. Even better, I have footage of the test at Wakefield Park on the Thursday where you see the true force of poor brake bias.. More spins than Shane Warne!
On Saturday I reset the bias to where it was meant to be then enjoyed a few test runs up and down the street with very pleasing results. Cant wait to get back out there.

If EVO's car can manage a 1.39-1.41, mine should manage a 1.45 but will have to wait and see.
Tyres( plus many other variables) have a big roll in lap times but its more a point of getting around as smooth as possible with everything on the limit and see what I come up with.
If I manage a 1.47 next time out, I will be very happy as it will take a lot of time in the car to improve on a 1.47.
Need a sim to practice on.

or is it Bill?

lol

Looks like dad! He sold the truck to the local school to ferry the kids back and forward. They never saw the traffic lights on the the sky...

The gearbox is out of my car, ready to be repaired and have the kazz diff installed. I will also be giving the carbon clutch a run to see how it performs.
The rear toe link was broken which may have something to do with the skitish handing of the car. This will no doubt be fixed too.
Hope to be back out there in a few weeks(4).

i'll be there.

im looking forward to the new clutch, i hope the gearbox work fixes the 4th gear issues and the new LSD stops it from frying the inside tyre in turns.

you could probably look at the slowmo footage from ec to see the toe changes,

Thanks for the link. Its on the to do list but there are a few others before this one. I still have the idea for a 'a' link suspension so Im still out on what to do.
I picked up the gearbox yesterday which has now been rebuilt with a few syncro's replaced, a reverse engagment hub, resetting of the gear selection bush, install of a new KAZZ 1.5 way/race spec diff and new diff bearings. The work was done by PREPED motorsport at Gladesville. I recommend these guys highly for a few reasons. They are the mechanics who maintained the MR2's which were campained throughout Australia in the Production car championship, Procar, Bathurst 12hr, Bathurst 24hr, Adelaide GP. They know MR2's inside out as does one of their neighbours at Carline mufflers. Another one of their works is the Lotus Exise which campained in Superlap and the Aust GT. Their price is very reasonable with high quality work.
The clutch(6.25" Carbon AP) is now fitted, the rear stays which locate the roll cage to the rear chassis rails are also fitted, the alternator bracket has also been relocated with the HUX branded bracket, turbo has been gasket matched with the manifold too.
The box will be fitted this weekend along with a few other bits and pieces, including adjustable rear camber plates, then hope to be on track in a few weeks time.
The next project is the ECU and inlet plenum but not for a little while yet. Just want get out there and enjoy the car for a while..

Thanks for the links suruk. Will look into these over the next few weeks.
I think I have sorted the clutch clearance issues. Hopefully I will try fitting the box tonight with positive results.
I have attatched a link of footage from Wakefield Park. Its a great example of how 'not' to set up your car.. At least the times were encouraging.
