Adjusting Gear Shifter Cables

Guys,
been a while since i posted something lol, so might as well ask this now
Car rarely gets driven these days, but on a few occasions ive wondered wether my gear shifter cables have stretched too much, is there any way of adjusting these?? im guessing there must be some sort of adjustment at the rose joints
any help appreciated, Ian im waitng for your reply lol

cheers

Yep, can adjust them at the rose joints near the gear shifter in the cab

Steve why do you think they need adjustment?
As long as the gear lever sits more or less vertical in neutral you shouldn't need to adjust anything.
But if there is a lot of slop you may need to replace the cable end bushes at the gearbox end or maybe the rose joint at the gearlever.
Check out the articles on the subject in the Technical section of the forum.
Also check out the Delta V website for replacements.

    Just a Hunch i guess
ive replaced bushing in the gearbox end, rose joint has some play but im not sure if its excessive or thats just normal. just thought id try and spruce up the shifting a bit more.
    Thanks
