FS: Bell GT5 Ultra Forced Air Helmet

Thought before i list on ebay i might try my luck here due to the track day coming up in a weekish.

For Sale - Bell GT5 ULTRA (Forced Air)

For those racing in an extreme temperature environment, the GT5 Forced Air is the helmet of choice for use with an external cooling system or with a simple airduct system (not included).
  • State-of-the-art ultra-lightweight helmet featuring larger aperture, very appreciated by closed cars drivers
  • Bell Racing "SV" brake visor mechanism for improved comfort and safety
  • Double screen anti fog (DSAF) visor for perfect vision under most severe circumstances as standard equipment
  • Efficient ventilation system and superior comfort
  • Hans® "post" clips fitted as original equipment and FIA 8858 label

Brand: Bell
Model: GT5 ULTRA (Forced Air version)
Size: 60 LARGE
Rating: SA2005 & FIA 8858-2002
Condition: USED. Has been worn a couple of times, all with balaclava on and for short time, only time used in a car was 1 passenger run at last hill climb, so short time. Condition is great as per the pictures (these were all taken today) I did have a mic fitted inside which was cable tied around the foam inside, there was still a small impression were the cable tie was when i took it off but may be gone by now, either way small and not really noticeable unless i point it out. Includes user manual, visor key, original box and 2nd visor (dark tint).
Sold AS IS - as per pictures.
Price: $350
Pickup from Park Orchards, Victoria or email me for price on postage.

RRP on these were about $1k, great helmet, anti fog visor really works - it wont fog up! HANS posts fitted from factory and has (FIA label on rear certifies this) comes with 2nd dark tint visor as said above.

Only downside is it has SA2005 rating, which has been superseded by SA2010 & SAH2010, however it still complys with FIA and CAMS even for international events (Level A) up to 2019, so theres nothing you cant use this in, after 2019 it wont comply to FIA so cant be used for FIA international racing, but will still be allowed by CAMS for circuit racing up to national level and defiantly club level for speed events for a long time!

Just out of curiosity, I suppose it couldn't be used as a motorcycle helmet, I mean apart from the air vent, but does it have the useless aus stds sticker?

kameleon: Thanks. The only car ive used it in was yours! ha ha.

sweetepete: Ill bring it along anyway.

just_ace: I dont know what standards are required for bikes but no it dosent have a AS sticker.
Obviously for motorsport (cars) its rated much higher then the AS1698 or M2005, M2010 ect.

Yeh, I think its the as1698.

Yeh im sure its alot higher rated, many helmets are. But technically if they dont have that stupid AS sticker you can get fined etc if you were to wear it as a motorcycle helmet.
