Help with a oil pressure gauge install

Thinking i should invest in oil pressure and temp gauges, i can easily wire the electrics up, but need some help wiring the sensor part up, where do people mount these, i want quick and easy mount not having to install various fittings etc, do people remove bungs from the head or something? best diy solution?

Best spot for the oil pressure is to put a T section where the factory oil light sensor is.

As for the temp do a search for redtarga on this. He has tried a few different spots with varying temps

You wouldnt happen to have a link showing an install?
as im not a mechanic, but a little handy and knowledgable,
id like to go out this morning grab a gauge and all neccesary stuff at once, do autobahn sell t pieces?

ive seen some people remove bungs,
do you run the wiring through the tunnel at the firewall with a bent coat hanger?

the route for the wiring will depend on where you mount the sensor. there are grommets either side of the tunnel and these are probably more suitable. take out the seat so you can do a nice tidy job

There are difficulties in using the center tunnel for extra wiring routing.
After having looked at doing it that way, IMO by far the easiest route for the wiring is along the floor under the carpet between the driver's seat and the door sill.
There is existing wiring there and a large grommet in the engine firewall that is easily pierced for the new wiring - too easy.
This way you also avoid the firewall heat shields.
