Count me in. Was thinking instead of us driving to Asquith we meet the rest of the guys at Mooney Mooney or Calga. Think the club address is .com.au

I'll need to check the dates but I think I've planned to go camping that weekend... If it falls through I'll be there.

That will be fine Shaz. Just to confirm, if you (or anyone else coming from Newcastle) don't want to drive all the way to Asquith to meet the rest of us, you can choose one of the following: A) Wait for us on the northbound side of the road at Mooney Mooney, just north of the bridge on Pacific Hwy, before 10:45am. OR B) Wait for us on the northbound side of the road at Calga, just before where Pacific Hwy meets Peats Ridge Rd, before 11am. In either case it would be easier if you just wait for us to drive past and then join the back of the group so we don't have to pull over. This will depend on the number of cars though, we may pull over if there aren't too many. NOTE: The original plan was to exit Pacific Hwy at Calga and then take Peats Ridge Rd...this is NOT the plan anymore. The new plan is to continue along Pacific Hwy until the northern end at the industrial area near Somersby, then go left onto Wisemans Ferry Rd and continue from there.

Yep I was thinking heading down the freeway & taking the Brooklyn / Pacific Highway exit at Mooney Mooney. So A) sounds like a plan & waiting on the side of the road. Maybe you could sms as you are leaving Asquith? Who else from Newy is in for this? There is a rest area/truck stop at the Brooklyn Exit where we could meet, take roof, off, etc.

Camping is still on so count me out, I'll be keen for a run early in the year though... Maybe up to the Singleton end of Putty Rd.

I had a wicked run back to sydney down the old pac. I went through the entire third and second section without touching the brake pedal once. Wasn't any cars at all so I cruised along about the speed limit and just steer through the corners. No braking. Was heaps good fun. Had to use it for the first section due to the higher speed limit.
Cheers for everybody coming out today. I had a blast. Looking forward to the next run.

I'm pleased to hear that everyone had a great day and enjoyed the drive, I certainly did too. For me, today was the funnest run I've ever done through Old Pac, and the first time in a year that I've done it in the MR2. wiso I had a wicked run back to sydney down the old pac. I went through the entire third and second section without touching the brake pedal once. Wasn't any cars at all so I cruised along about the speed limit and just steer through the corners. Yeah that's one of the fun ways to do it.
