Yeah that is a great price. Obviously would require a roll cage and race seat to mount up all the harness. Plus recommend a wrap around head support seat (i know you have one Steve) and 'HANS' specific 6 point harness (3" to 2" shoulder belts, so its 2" over the hans, fits nicer on the hans then a 3" belt, but 3" is still ok. Just a little picture i came across a while back to show the HANS device, it is a pic of Scott Pye's (V8 supercars) HANS and teathers after a crash at symmons plains in tassy this year. The short teather is brand new length, the long one is from the crash! Heres the crash http://youtu.be/In-s-n-cSZ8

I watched the video the other day. Pretty big impact. Looks like a brake failure which has happened a few times with the Holden/Fords. Sure did stretch a fair bit! At least he is ok. There was one at the last round, the Bathurst 12hr Holden's had brake failures and the Holden Ute in the Wakefield 300. Must have something to do with heat soak. My brakes have the option of running a cooler on the brake fluid. I wonder if the V8SC do the same thing?

Nah they dont, just air ducts. Last year and prior they ran water injection in the air ducts, dont with the new COTF cars, altho the cars are lighter and have bigger brakes. BTW if anyone is interested, i am actually selling a Cobra wrap wound seat (same as yours Steve) and a HANS 3"- 2" 6pt harness. http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/widemr/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

Errr cause im in idiot. Basicaly i also bought the same seat but the carbon fiber version, which is now my drivers seat, thought i would use the other as passenger seat but bit hard to get the seat in and out of the car (which i know ill do alot) just due to the height and size, getting around the cage ect, exp while the drivers seat is in there. So ill sell it and buy a smaller non wrap around head cobra seat for the passengers

Yes, the seats are difficult to install. The second seat for my car is a Recaro which is a better fit than the Cobra. also better 'wings' than the Cobra. It really keeps the head in the right direction but it is designed for someone with no ass and 'infact' have one! The Cobra also has poor lumber support. I fit some higher density foam to elevate the problem. It's a good seat, but the Recaro is a little better in securing the driver and back support.

Ha ha didnt mean to turn this into a for sale thread Yeah i think it will Andrew. Only thing is ive had a bid already on ebay, not sure what i would be chasing for it, it was $950 from Revolution, make an offer, rather see it go to a mate. As far as the support Steve, you can buy the 'Pro Fit' cushions which are newish, you can buy the back padding and separate knee and bum padding (knee and bum is normally 1 piece) and you can get high, medium or low, so you can mix and match a bit more to suit. Of corse you can always add more or cut off foam, as the covers comes off easy, like you have done Steve, and im sure Andrew will be more then able to manage this!

Yeah for the HQ, Upgrading the safety for next year as I want to have a bit better crack at it next year because we will have some TV coverage. It will only be a matter of time before CAMS make things like the HANS device mandatory in all classes, some of the senior guys in the HQ's are pushing for it now to be in the HQ rules
