Dave: I know it would really stand out and look good on a black car but I'm not sure how long it would take me to get sick of it. I'm leaning towards something plain lately but I'm still not sure, I better make my mind up soon though!

UPDATE

Sorted out some axles which will work, ordered a berk dump pipe and ic pipe which clears the trd strut brace I'll post pics when they arrive!

I also pulled the gearbox off and disassembled a few more bits and pieces.

The clutch is standard and looks a bit worn, so to avoid dramas down the track I decided against putting it back in. So I bought this off the Japanese auctions, even though its second hand it looks to be in good condition. Hopefully It works out nicely.

Its a ORC (OGURA RACING CLUTCH) 409D and flywheel package. Assuming its a silent type? Anyone confirm?

silent type? don't think so? according to these links the non sprung centered clutches are the silent type (silent on these clutches is never truly silent lol)

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://www.ogura-racing.com/metal_clutch.html&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dorc%2Bclutches%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DG&rurl=translate.google.com.au&usg=ALkJrhj8eHUQAFGic1gmCX2I10nSkEf6fg

BUT awesome clutch choice, leaves headroom for future upgrades.

Gone for the OGURA RACING CLUTCH eh.

So you're 100% it's a 409D? Silent or non-silent I'm sure you'll like it and get used to the noise

I wish I was able to see my ORC 409D non-silent type before Ian took it out of its packaging and installed it.

Trav: Yeah you're right it does appear to be the non silent type, other info had me confused. I will double check with Ian though.

speedracer Awesome, I hope so. Can't wait for booost

Tom: Really looking forward to it, never really properly driven a mr2 turbo before. From what I hear the gen3 should keep me very happy.

Darren Yeah its definitely a 409D the 309 is only available for the n/a gearbox. I'm a little worried with the noise, hoping it doesn't irritate me too much!

Dylan Thanks man, yeah can't wait to join the turbo club[:x)]

Trav: I have just read those sites man. It makes more sense now

Adrian: You'll get used to it. If anything we can sit at the lights together and have people thinking there's something wrong with both those cars [:x)]

no sh!t you dickhead,i though that was one of front disc,s
i was browsing the link you posted and on the brochure the flywheel has locating lugs for the pressure plate,so the bolts have no side contact with the pressure plate
take a look for yourself, page 8-9 lower left corner
