TRD WING fitment

as you may or may not know i purchased a TRD wing that doesnt fit and have been told that for a extra $210 + frieght i need a trd boot exstention for it to sit on can anyone clarifie this as i havnt seen any with this exstenion on them and if anyone has fitted a trd wing any advise would be very helpful

    Is this the wing from the TRD widebody kit? From this pic below it looks like it attaches straight to the lid.

    yep thats what i thought so it obvious that its just shooty workmenship MOTORKITZ strike again

    If you after a big wing like that one (that fits) Gorilla Industries is selling an awesome fibreglass bootlid with a rare wing attached.

    thanks Mrskylighter but with the money i have spent on this carbon fibre trd wing i am determand to make it fit

    I'm not sure on the wing to be honest but i'd say can always ask for a refund and try another company like carmate or spend more and purchase the original. There might be some slight modification that need to be done as well to make it fit.

    thanks darius, they are same pictures Mark from Motokitz sent me and as i said to him the red car doesnt have the trunk hood exstension on it either he was just trying to milk me for more money

    On the TRD widebody there is a piece that sits on the boot lid to blend in with the TRD2000 rear arches.
     
    The TRD kit is a lot more squared and as such its necessary to keep the boot lid flush with the body work.
     
    The above red car actually does have it but is blended in to the rest of the kit.
     
    Its a bit more obvious in the below picture.

    You have to remember that it is designed to go on a WIDEBODY. If you look at the first boot lid it overhangs the actual lid. Notice how this one is not overhanging the boot lid

    They can be made to fit

    Yeh bro I know about the over hang that's not the problem it
    Won't sit Flat to secure it with or
    With out over hang,the prob I have
    Is they have made the blade to long(wide) so I have to try and trim it back with out destroying to carbon fibre weave
