WTB STOCK AIR BOX

Hi guys,
i was running a weapon R secret CAI, but i want to get the stock box back,
i have the piping and everything apart from the top section of the box where to sensor plugs into etc,
just wondering if anyone has one lying around for cheap, as i want to do the same airbox mod as REDTARGA has done,
i dont mind the cai just rather the stock box,

so may be interested in selling the cai, only 2 months old and has done less than 1000kms,
comes with box and all forms and install papers,

Car is a 10/92 Na aus spec

I don't recall ever using a hose on the intake.
However I have fabricated a larger diameter intake using plastic plumbing fittings, (going into the stock airbox).
I kept the stock airbox and top resonators.

I currently use an Injen pod located down just inside the intake vent.

    Oh
Perhaps I misread someone's testimonial from you,

However if you have a thread on the work and modifications done to yours I would be eager to have a read and compare because ATM,
My cai runs right down to the vent and I have even removed that slight mesh covering to get a better mounting in the vent, and it is covered with a shield
It's not to close to suck water and any little pebbles flicked up however
And I was thinking of getting some of those flares that adapt onto the vent to hopefully scoop a bit more air in and help funnel it better, I'll use one on both sides to equalize the drag efficient

I'm also looking to remove unnecessary weight
With out sacrificing safety, comfort and road noise
So sound deading will be staying, it already had coilovers as I want it setup for street and track

But the boot carpet will perhaps go as it's already starting to peel away and the jack job from the amp and sub that was in there has holes and wear marks
Also the amp will be removed,
Perhaps a light weight battery, however considering against this as I kind of need all the weight I can get in the front ahaha!

But if I can remove 20kgs of items from the current way it is
I'll have achieved my goal and without breaking the bank to keep the gf happy

The coilovers going in should remove about 2 kgs a corner
Based on the last mr2 I had

Unfortunately for people like us that like to modify things, with the 3SGE NA anyway it would seem that Toyota/Yamaha already did a great job of designing the intake.
I currently run a pod down inside the side vent but I am now considering going back to stock ha ha.

Playing around with intake mods is probably harmless fun, so long as what you end up with still filters properly.
However don't expect any performance increase that you can actually feel in the seat of your pants, apart from the changed intake sound that might fool you into thinking there is some.
