Black Snake Creek Festival Street Parade and Show and Shine - Saturday 12 October
 
As the dust settles after the Nationals in Tasmania (or more correctly, the wind, rain and snow settles) the October Run is going to be something completely different, with the Club supporting the Black Snake Creek Street Parade plus Show and Shine at Marburg on Saturday the 12th.
 
Normally the Club is famous for the exercise we give our cars,   but this time we have been invited specially by Mrs Scope to attend the Black Snake Creek event to show off our rides along side some vintage and classic machines. This will consist of a street parade through Marburg (not many people will have seen a topless MR2 for those with targa roofs) and a Show and Shine with the cars on display for festival attendees to inspect. Prizes will be awarded for the "People's Choice" and other categories.
 
This is a great opportunity to get some publicity for the Club but also a chance to show other "special interest" car owners how good our cars are.
 
We have to checked in at Marburg between 9.15am and 9.45am, so we will meet at the BP Service Station, Black Soil, on the Warrego Highway, at 8.30am for an 8.45am departure. Once at Marburg we have some forms to fill in to register the cars and the street parade should start at 10.00am. PM me if you have any questions but hope to see you there.

Eric, main activites are up to midday and you can leave whenever you want to. If you win any prizes then we will collect them for you. Attending this activity is helping Scope and Mrs Scope (just as they have helped us all with the recent workshop day) so I hope as many can come as possible.
 
Black Snake Creek Festival is not just about cars and there are a stack of things to see and do. As I said before its a great chance for publiscising our cars. Walter.

Dave, thanks for the support. Tell the co-pilot we have a secret weapon to help her keep cool on the day. No, it's not XXXX Gold , and all will be revealed at Marburg.
 
Dennis, come on, get the AW11 going, we don't wont to be the only AW11 on show again. I was hoping for at least one cousin for ours.
 
Eric, Uni?? You have to stop with the cars and do more study! No more all nighters and last minute assignments. This was what we did, so you should be better. Even if you can make the parade it would be appreciated. 

Unfortunately Walter it isn't assignments bu an assesment of sorts. I will know by Friday if there is a chance that I can attend

INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING TO MARBURG INDEPENDENTLY
 
If you cannot make the meeting place at the BP Service Station, Black Soil, Warrego Highway, by 8.45am tomorrow then you should continue on the Warrego highway towards Marburg.
 
The first Marburg exit from the highway will be blocked, so we will be taking the second exit, which then takes us down to a T-junction.
 
At the T-junction we take a left turn on to Queen Street, go through the Marburg township, and continue on to the Showground where the parade is assembling.
 
Although today (Friday) is a bit warm the forecast for tomorrow is for much milder temperatures, but don't forget to bring hats and sunscreen.
 
See you either at the meeting point at 8.30am , or the Showground.
