My old coilovers are now $300 for the set of 4. Grab a bargain.

Lol, I have a almost new set of KW's on mine so all ok. Thanks for the offer!

The car went well today. I managed to beat my best time by 0.6 seconds and got 1m48.9s.
Supashock convinced me to put the front anti roll bar back on and I'm sad to say that the understeer in tight corners has returned - i.e. turn 2 at Eastern Creek. I'll disconnect it again for the next track day.
The car also felt a bit unstable at times and I think that I may have delaminated a rear tyre. I'll check tomorrow.
The power felt better than MTC 2016 because it was a much cooler day and I had the intercooler working properly :-)
I'm happy overall.

Nice driving, you outrun almost every car on track. Very good example of "Practice makes perfect" - I'm sure some of those Skylines were pushing more power than the lil' MR2, and yet you lose 'em on the corners

The engine is out again. It idles badly and I found that I have low compression in one cylinder. There are also small aluminium flakes in the oil.
I dropped the engine off to Graeme Wilkins yesterday for him to strip it and identify what went wrong. I hope that it is relatively easy to fix.
Sucks hey?

That's not good.  Have you been out racing again?  I know you had a meeting in June.

No. It's been sitting in the garage since June while I have been restoring my RA60 Celica.

UPDATE - The engine issue has been found. It is weak valve springs. The low compression was caused by the valves bouncing and eating into the valve seats. The valves I had were new genuine Toyota valve springs.
If any of you are going to build a high performance 3SGTE, you MUST buy stronger valve springs, or the same thing will happen to you. My combination of oversized valves (1mm) and higher boost, is too much for the standard valve springs to handle.
I have ordered a new set of Supertech valves, a new set of stronger Supertech valve springs, a new set of piston rings and new main and conrod bearings. The beast should be running again soon!
I have also bought a Haltech ECU (E11V2) and an AIM MXL Pista dash to go with it. I'm not going to put them in just yet though will bench test them both and set them up as much as I can before putting them into the car along with my turbo upgrade that I will do sometime next year, funds allowing. I haven't bought the turbo or any of the other physical parts yet, though at least I now have the Haltech and dash!
The car will be ready to rock at MR2WPC in January.
