'92 3sge engine and gearbox swap package

Hi Road and track,
 
I'm wondering do you have '92 rebuilt engine and gearbox bundle and ready to swap for my car atm?
I've also sent you an email last nite about it. Also how much would this swap be ?

2GR V6 exhaust headers

we can now supply custom made steel headers to suit V6 conversions into MR2 , MRS or Celica.
 
$575 pair. this includes new gaskets at the head and the bottom of the headers where the main exhaust pipe joins
 
these are steel. the head gasket face is machine ground flat after welding (not just quickly linished). they are coated with VHT exhaust ceramic grey
 
we will soon be offering the main exhaust pipe system for the SW20

Engine mounts AW11 & SW20

As most of you know, we have been supplying these for years and offering most as a heavy duty version which we get re-made locally. Our re-made ones are "heavy duty" in that we fully bond them with no voids, so they dont crack up like the stock ones. of course, this means you feel fractionally more vibrations. Over the years we have found a reasonable compromise between rubber strength (hardness) , harshenss and life. Most owners are really happy with this.
 
Some mounts are now obsolete with Toyota, so for those mounts, and all our re-made heavy duty ones, we now have a policy of a $100 deposit per mount, fully refundable when you send back the old mounts. This enables us to get the core stock (which we can re-make) and allows others in the future, to keep their cars on the road. of course, if you send us you old mounts first, then there is no such charge.
 
To help reduce a lot of emails we get. here are some facts about MR2 mounts:
  • No other Toyota model is the same
  • The SW20 turbo mounts are heavier/larger than the NA ones. Whislt they will physically interchange, the smaller NA mounts dont last in a hard-driven turbo car
  • None of the mounts come with the brackets that bolt onto the gearbox or engine. These are separate parts. The Turbo and NA brackets (3 of) are different on the gearbox and dont interchange
  • The AW11 mounts changed several times over the years. The NA and SC ones are all different, much like SW20
  • To ensure we give you the right mounts, send us your VIN (if aust car) or "MODEL & FRAME" if jap import.

MRS-2GR conversion underway

we have just started our first such conversion on a MRS. we will write up an article and put it on our web site in the next month or so. Interested parties can phone.
 
engine & box now sitting in donor shell. no particular problems with this but it is a very tight squeeze. we have modified the alloy end cover on the gearbox to get more chassis clearance but suspect some minor chassis mods will be needed in finished job, to give 'real-world" clearances. changing the front bank of spark plugs is impossible without either removing the engine or cutting an inspection hole in the rear body work, where the soft-top folds down.
 
custom mounts being made. at this stage we are keeping the MRS rubber mounts in all locations and changing the metal brackets
 
exhaust is under consideration. it looks like the easiest route is to use the headers designed for the SW20 conversion and notch the front crossmember to give sensible clearances around the flange.
 
wiring.. no particular problem but days of work
 
rear crossmember needs to be radically modified. prototype in progress. 

Toyota crash repair parts and panels dicounted

we can currently do some awesome deals on crash repair parts (lights, grilles, radiators etc) & commonly needed panels for current & very recent model Toyotas like Camry/Aurion, Corolla, Hilux.
In some cases, we can match or better the price for chinese knock-offs, and you know these genuine ones will fit and work as they should
A few parts for older models like 7th gen celica & MR2 Spyder are also discounted while there is still stock
This deal wont be around for more than a few months.
