Head Gasket, Steel shim vs. OEM

I lost my head gasket last night on my pretty much stock Gen3. Is going to the Steel Shim going to have any benefits?

"Wheel Stud Long" how much longer are they than the standard ones?

the long studs are 75mm long total .
some gen 3 engines have a metal HG. Both plain and metal HG's in stock
