Effective AW11 Brake Upgrade.

Hi.

Im quite sure road and track are soon going to be tired of my voice (im getting an engine off them).

I am just wondering.

Now that I will soon have my Engine and suspension sorted out, I was looking into effective brake upgrades for the AW11.

What would be an effective brake system upgrade, I do venture to tracks and often compete in rallies. The standard system does start to fall down and feel a bit soft after a wile (specially when I have slicks on). I would like to ask if you have done work on AW11's for similar situations? Changing pads may have to suffice for the moment, but I was just wondering if it was possible to change the brakes from a later MR2 (either supercharged AW11 or SW20 Brake system... maybe even the MRS braking system or a system from another car, maybe even a specific kit)?

As far as big brake kits go I think they would be overkill for an AW11, also that they would heavily bias the front wheels when even in stock form a little more braking power sent to the rears would help balance a little.

A number of overseas web sites deal with AW11 brake upgrades. Local law requires allows for upgrades but there are 2 classes.

DESIGN , which is required if you start fitting bits and peices off various cars. A mod plate for 'design" requires extensive enginnering calculations and tests.
SUNSTITUTION, where you fit the ENTIRE system from another ADR approved car. a mod plate requires you to prove the entire system is used, and fitted in a factory-like manner.

we can handle both here, but have not done an AW11 one so far.
