MR2 Spyder race car 4 sale

MR2 Spyder 2001 race car
 
Only being sold to make way for Lotus with 2ZZ . This car has 100% finish record over past couple of years. Hit key, it goes, everytime. Of course, you can always spend more money developing it. This car could probably be re-registered if needed as i have kep all the parts except soft-top and the wiring/dash/doors etc are not gutted.
 
Manual 5 speed with LSD, recently overhauled with new clutch.
2ZZ engine with only 50,000km. Never opened up . Runs perfectly
Custom exhaust headers 4:2:1
K&N Apollo enclosed pod filter with proper cold air intake into fender duct
Fully adjustable custom made suspension arms front & rear with specially reinforced rear subframe
Tein coil-overs with increased rate springs, front & rear.
Custom made  adjustable camber tops for rear struts. Tein adjustable camber tops at front.
Front underfloor brace
Front & rear custom made strut braces
Motec fully programmable engine ECU with all options, GPS track mapping, wide band Lambda, data logging , CANBUS comms etc. Dyno tuned for engine
Progressive shift light display (driven by Motec)
Near new race brake pads front & rear. All discs machined when pads fitted recently
15 x 7 wheels with almost new Dunlop slicks
15 x 7 wheels with near new Federal FZ201 semi-slick 
Sparco Evo race seat with double latching adjustable runners
5/6 point race harness (newly fitted)
Flat bottomed steering wheel with leather rim
Soft top and much of interior trim removed
Roll bar & fire extinguisher to CAMS specs
Lightweight race battery with custom mounting

if anyone is keen on this with a 2GR V6, give me a call as we can use (keep) the 2Z and manual gearbox, and do a deal for the car with the conversion including a E code turbo manual gearbox

Oh no Terry, joining the Lotus crew.  Few of the blokes over there can be quite abrupt & quite frankly, cocks, but I usually just go tell them where to shove it.
 
You buy the Elise from salvage yard?  I am toying with the idea of buying a non-registered elise/exige for race duties.  I cringe at doing anything too wild (or totalling) a 75-80k car on the track.  Every time I think about it and do the sums with the level of kit that is on my Exige I wont see too much change from buying a 15 or 20k unregisterable car and performing same mods (barely enough to make all the effort justifiable).

yes, i bought a stat write off. hit both ends, but easy enough for me to fix
 
i agree, i could not afford to race an $80k car
 
so far, the lotus guys i've dealt with have been really helpful, but once we start racing this might change
 
its a '07 elsie with exige F&R clams. Lots of race bits all round as it was tracked for a few years by original owner. uprated gearbox, LSD, steering arms, quick rack, adjustable sway bar, VIPEC ECU etc 
 
its only got a 1ZZ in it, so i 'm looking to change to either 2GR V6 or 2ZZ. Both sitting here ready to go
 
would you happen to have the spline drive "key" for the mags??. if so, could i borrow it o'nite sometime soon, to get my wheels off??

Yep I responded in the aussie elises thread, most of the guys are good, there are just a few trouble stirrers that like to gee me up quite often!  You can borrow the key, when did you want it?  I think it'd be quite alot of work to fit the 2GR in, if you look at the changes required to make it fit in the evora or new Exige S I dont think it'll fit in the 2zz sub frame, at all.

I'll need the wheel key back for the weekend as I've got a fair bit of stuff I've got to start doing before next sprint round in a couple of weeks.

we are still developing the 2Z engine. latest dyno results after we designed and made an exhaust.
