used 3SGTE engines

we have 2 second hand engines at present. 1 is from a ST185 GT4 and the other from a MR2. One came from a 1/2 cut that had 86,4000km on it and was completely stock. The other was in a rear cut so we have no idea of km's . We have not had either running but will take the sump off and check bearings and do a compression test before selling them. Both are probabaly too good to strip to rebuild, so if there is any interest, we may sell them as-is. contact us if interested.

sorry, you have misunderstood. i dont have the cut, just the bare engine.
Unfortunately, we can't get gen 3 1/2 cuts easily. they are super rare and becoming more expensive. expect $3000- $3500 if you find one

$1650 for MR2 engine exchange, provided your old engine is reconditionable and does not have a cracked crank. we will check compression, oil pressure at crank and remove the sump to check for abnormal bearing wear. We will offer a 90 day warranty provided the install is factory stock & totally unmodified.

yes, all 3S engines have this problem. most of the problem comes from slack owners who allow them to run low on oil. this causes a big end bearing to let go and thats what causes the crack to occur

if the car has spun a big end how likely is that the metal has gone though and damaged the turbo bearing and the head can the metal be flushed out easily

is the gen 2 block the same as the gen3 ?? if there is a diff how hard is it to put the gen3 head on the gen 2 block???

an engine with a spun bearing needs complete strip down. the turbo is fed on the pressure side after the filter. it may be Ok, may be stuffed. the gen 3 head bolts to a gen 2 block, but there are numerous differences. if you tell me exactly what you are tyring to achieve by doing that, I can assist
