Black Vue HD car crash cameras.
Hello guys, Earlier this week I was involved in a minor car accident, that looks like it could cost around $6000 (I guess not that minor); there may have been some argument as to who was at fault if I hadn't been really lucky to track down a witness through the power of facebook and the car community. After 10 years rating 1 I've ditched full comp (car's aren't worth enough anyway) for 3rd party with minimal uninsured driver coverage, assuming most people would at least have the same, little did I know. Anyway I've decided it's probably best if I get a crash cam for crash witness and protect against misidentification with driving offences. I'd love a Black Vue but they're very excy. I do, however, know the owner of Street FX and I'm sure if I can get a big enough group buy could probably get the price down. Here's the details, web price of $259. http://streetfx.com.au/store/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=30153 If I can generate enough interest I'll approach them and see how low they can go. At this stage I'd like to limit the buy to WA/Perth to bulk ship the lot but if others are interested I can see if we can discounted rate to other states too. This will be open to anyone not just the MR2 forums but I'm seeing how much interest there is here first before going ahead. Nick.

Looks like I might need to expand the group then. I'd like to extend this to toymods but I'm not a financial member so can't do group buys. Hopefully I'll be able to generate enough interest here and on some of the facebook groups.

I use a $60 in one of my cars, which although only records in 720p, is plenty good enough to prove who's at fault. This site has lots of very useful info, including FAQs on most models: www.dashcamtalk.com Check out this page in particular: http://dashcamtalk.com/dash-cam-comparison/ Some of the Blackvues have issues with reliability.

I had one for about 2 months: http://www.szswill.com/car-camera.html so far so good. There are so many liars out there now where it comes to driving. Just one accident that isnt forced to go 50/50 because some liar decides that he doesnt want to payfor an accident that they caused (With no witness or even a witness that magically appears on their behalf) will be well worth it. And especially with all the insurance scams going around lately with people intentionally causing accidents (Such as overtaking then immediately slamming on the brakes) rear diver would be considered at fault without any witnesses or evidence and another scumbag would get away with it..

I sell Dashcams that record in 1080p for $129. I use one myself and they work well. Definitely a good investment!
