Thanks for the offer on parts, I'm building a list of what I need at the moment... yes a list! :)

These are the rear lights that I'm mounting into my two and they're mainly referred to as the Revision 6 style. I've had these for atleast 5 years now as I was going to put them into my last car however with all the crazy things I was doing with it I just never got around to it. Now I know these may not be everyone's taste but they are unquie and the current MR2 stock lights are not working properly so I might as well put them to good use instead of them collecting dust in my shed.

That colour!
Cant get enough of it! Are you a doing the body work yourself?

What was done to your last MR2? Sounded like it had quite a bit done?

I do most things myself, sometimes I fail but every time I learn... just waiting on some nice weather for the paint to go on as its been a little too cold these last few days, weekend is looking promising.

My last MR2 wasn't modified, I have a Celica that is thou which now that I think about it haha was overkill but plenty learnt!

Finally had some nice weather so managed to get the car painted on Thursday with some help from a mate, then the cut and polish on Friday and its come up surprisingly well but will give it a day more to set and then will start putting the exterior pieces back on.

The exterior of the car is mostly back together now, just have the windows to tint and then I'll put them back in, reseal them up. I will need new targa rubber seals eventually but for now I've cleaned them up as best I can they just may not seal to well. Will collect a few interior parts this week so I can get all of that back together and then finally I'll work on all the mechanical bits once I've collected what I need.

Sorry about the lack of updates I’ve been away overseas for the last few weeks.

Below is the list of issues that need attention which some of them I’ve started to purchase new parts and will replace/fix myself. The other jobs mainly the engine stuff… look out Tristan, it will be booked in with you in the future!

ISSUES
Aftermarket gauge & turbo timer not working – Completely removed
Internal fans & air con demister not working
Aircon belt missing
Passenger window not working from master control
Electric side mirrors not working
Large miss fire when idling and at revs - WTF Auto job
Ignition lead is oil soaked
Turbo has no boost  - WTF Auto job
Large knocking noise from turbo area - WTF Auto job
ABS light remains on – Due to split wiring on keft sensor no doubt
Brake fluid, coolant and clutch fluid all need flushing
Short radiator hoses breaking down internally – Purchased all new hoses for radiator
Front say bar links worn and nuts missing – Will purchase front and rear Whiteline sway bars
Rear trailing arm bushes cracked - Will purchase Whiteline or Superpro bushes all round
Clutch slave cylinder leaking
Major degrease required – InProgress
All brake line securing clips missing or damage, causing cuts into lines – Will just replace all lines with SS PVC coated ones
Minor leaks from front shocks – Purchased BC BR Racing Coilovers front and back

So in good time and when money presents itself I should be able to clear up all these outstanding issues!

Regarding:

Electric side mirrors not working

I had the same issue when I first got my car. Check the plug on the door that clicks into the window winder control panel. I found the pins slip out of the plug too easily and don't make contact, thus the power mirrors stop working.

Could be an easy fix...

Thanks Pete! The plug on the wiring loom that goes into the unit has been tampered with plus it looks like the wiring in the drivers door has also been messed with... should hopefully be a easy fix that one.

The famous WFX, I followed your Celica Beams thread for some time. Always liked your attention to detail and willingness to try some very unique stuff indeed.

The paint looks really nice! and you'll get through those issues in no time.

Thanks for the comments SW20_3sgte, I like to keep things freshly different.

Slowly been working through the issues but some of the electrical issues have been giving me grief so I decided to move on to finishing the interior and stereo setup, will move back to the electrical issues that are left when I have a clear mind.

The seats I had were some old bucket seats but until I can find a set of MR2 ones at a decent price I've decided to use a set of electric Eunos ones. I've installed the cables and designed new mounting brackets to fit the seats and they look pretty good. I was going to re-trim the seats as seen below but decided on the cheap option of seat covers for now as the money and time would be better spent on some suspensions.

The previous owner pretty much destroyed most of the black plastic panels, most of them were painted a very ugly yellow paint so I decided to give them a new lease on life and resprayed them in the same colour as the car... which looks MUCH better in my opinion!

I also had a spare steering wheel and some audio gear lying around from previous car builds so have mounted them all nicely in my two

I shall neaten the wiring & amp install once its all working in the car but attached behind the passenger seat works for now

Door trims all mounted and looking fresh

All interior panels are now comfortably back in the car which makes it looks tons better then what it originally looked like on purchase... I always forget to take photos of the before effect! I still need to install the head unit, just need some of those side mounting brackets so I can finish the stereo off. I also need the plastic steering surround if anyone has one for sale.

Thats pretty much the interior done bar a few loose ends so will work on the mechanical side of things next.

Its in a semi neat and tidy version at the moment so will take it to Toyotas in the Park tomorrow in a effort to capture some nice photos with hopefully other MR2's and the like so if your down there by all means come say hello.
