MSD Taco Adapter

Hey Guys,

Finally recieved my msd tach adapter 8920 and just need to confirm if the taco is actually vlotage triggered or current triggered? I am leaning towards the voltage driven, but just want to confirm before I wire it up.

I am fairly certain that it would read of a pulse width, so voltage would be my pick.

The MR2 tachometers are high voltage based as they read off the Negative terminal on the ignition coil. This changed when they went to coil on plug ignitions (ZZW30).

You can make these tach-adaptors yourself for like $10.
