Clutch pedal suddenly went sluggish and shallow [FIXED]

{I just made it home tonight, and I have a sneaking suspicion of my problem......but would like to share and hear others' opinions.

Clutch pedal has been getting spongier all day, and it was getting difficult to find the engagement point with the clutch.

By the end of today the engagement point is when the pedal is almost on the floor.

Clutch slave cylinder???

First thing is to cheek the fluid level under the bonnet.

Exact same symptoms when my master cyl inner seal popped.

Could very well be the slave cyl though, as they'd both have similar symptoms.

To be honest, I'd be hoping its the master, the slave is a prick to get to but is easier to bleed.

Monika - where did you get that done?

I need to get mine done - before cruise!

I was not even given the option to rebuild the old ones - and the price they gave me for new ones was a lot more then that and I assumed was the only option

Rebuild kits are both about $20 from Veals, takes about 1-2 hours for a pro so you should be looking around $200-220 total.

Your estimate is pretty much spot on, however I had to pay for labour to get the darn things out and have them put back in again!! Cost me more than the rebuild, but they did also replace the ball joints for me at the same time.
