Well I am in, in whatever format comes about. Let me know where to pay my money please? Spoken to a friend who has a little Merc sportscar and he is very happy to join us as well for the day, so that's two from us if the format is "us v the rest"

From a personal perspective, I'd like to see our first skid pan day as an MR2 only day (maybe include some former owners as well). To make this happen, I'm willing to put $520 (4x entry fees) of my own cash towards this, which essentially means we will only need 9 more cars to make the quota.

Get your interest in please and support this club event :)

I'm a little more frugal than the shining knight, however I'm happy to pay for two places if required.  If the spot doesn't get filled I'll drag my brother or wife along for the day.

I was just thinking it’s very possible both my cars would be on the road by the time this comes around. I could get Sharon to drive the second one there and for any of the events where it’s just a single car at a time I could just drive one and then the other. Sharon might be up for some of the events as well.

So I might be down for two cars.

Could be a fun way for me to learn the differences of a turbo adub vs. a SC one and learn the overall character of each car.

Aaron and Walter, if you can get them to bend the rules a little and let a P plater in, I will deffinetly be there!

Sorry mate, it's all to do with insurance and legalities. This has been the case for SlideWize for the last 7 years and I doubt it's going to change any time soon. Come watch, come sit passenger and when you get your Open license, come smash them all with that you've learnt.

This does look like a lot of fun! I am very interested in a day like this, so I would like to register my interest in this track day. Just a question, do I need a CAMS licence for this event? Or will an open licence suffice?

Cheers

Only just seeing this now but I'm interested in going, whatever option works out they all sound good to me as long as I'm driving my car I don't care who I'm up against its more about what my car can do for me

tralfazPersonally I would like to see 14 cars or more and we make it an all MR2 day, but this would require a firm commitment now, and to be practical with the size of the Club I doubt if 14 or more members could pay a substantial, non-refundable deposit by the end of this month. Both Aaron (Knightrous) and Aaron Drew have indicated that the "Them Versus Us" days are a whole lot of fun, which would mean another Club like the V8's or Skylines pitting their skills against us on the skidpan and in the games. This sounds like serious fun to me, and would not require 14 MR2's or more to make it happen. We could also educate a few non-believers about what these cars can do.

How are we progressing with numbers, have PM's / emails to Qld run attendees been sent out yet to gather interest?

The "end of the month" deadline for non-refundable deposits seems to have come and gone, so will we need to decide on an alternate event or just get in early to book up a misfits day?
