The Dudemobile. Car needs new keeper :( More pics.

It's a 90 hardtop. GT.
The interior has later model cloth seats, VDO gauges for oil pressure, oil temp, gearbox temp and i replaced the water temp in the dash with a VDO unit. Sony head unit and Alpine speakers (4). Car was resprayed in Toyota white 2pack a couple of years ago. All of the body parts like the rev5 rear wing and front lip are genuine Toyota parts. I'm a bit of a Toyota snob/purist so put all the bits like the wind deflectors, mud flaps, rev5 steering wheel, new red stitch gear knob, 16' TRD Rays wheels to 'keep it in the family' Non Toyota parts are the VDO's, Koni yellows, Eibach springs and Raybrig headlights.

I built the car as a long term keeper but it's time to let it go.

And thumbs up to Purple5ive for telling me my exhaust was a hard to find Greddy set of twins.

I aimed for a nice daily. Nothing hektik or a car that will only suit being used occasionally.
Its got the Koni/Eibach combo. The ride is nice, I was a bit surprised by the actual ride height - no problem about not scraping the front lip!

Coming from my daily n/a mr2 it is really nice to hear the turbo, even though my youngest son described that as 'an old man snoring...'

It's good for now, anything that isn't right I can hear. So looking for a suitable fan to go with the GReddy intercooler I got my hands on.
On the other hand there's one or two creaks and groans that I wouldn't mind being covered up with some dumb and bass.

Looking good mate! I'm all for decent ICE, just a bit of punch & sound quality to make the drive more enjoyable.

Wow the later front lip and combat spoiler really transforms it. Think I might do the same...

A little more progress. After asking around and people like RedTarga helping out (thanks) I went with the VDO gauge range.

Could NOT find a plastic cutter anywhere, found an injection moulding place in Kirrawee who had a legend of an employee who is into this stuff.

and inserted a VDO gauge in place of the factory water temp...
Its got the 'JST' boost in that pic but only for fitting. J-Spec have promised that 'Omori' as ordered is on the way. (I really couldn't care less that it says 'JST' or 'Omori' - its just that along with the name change they changed the gradations from inner justified to outer which as you see makes it no so good for MR2's)

The VDO temp gauge sits square with the rear of the console. Not exactly perfect and i'm not sure if was a ploy of the bloke that did the work (Dean) to have a shot of Jennifer Hawkins in the background to distract me... (you'll notice that torso in both pics....)

    Gauges are being installed tomorrow.
