taking the car to the carwash was the first mistake.
not getti8ng a clear coat the second one.
third one painting the car black lol
anyways, a good cut and polish is what id do to get the switls out, you can do it yourself if you have a random orbital or dual action polisher , bit better if you have a rotary polisher AND KNOW HOW TO USE ONE. otherwise you wil do more damage than what your trying to fix.
using a polishing compound with silicon in it will mask the scratches for a while, and then they will re-appear, try to get a polsihing compound that VOC free, its safer for you too.
when washing at home use the TWO BUCKET METHOD.
apply a good sealant synthetic or wax is your choice which will keep the car in a better condition.
i have a lot of detailing stuff at home if you want to borrow them, your not far from me from what i can remember.
