OBD2 Cable to USB/Handheld scanner

Hi,

Ive got a check engine light I want to pretty urgently investigate but it turns out the cable I normally use for the bike has a special chip that registers it useless for my Spyder which I found out after playing with it for an hour last night.

Ive got another cable coming in from hong kong but I would like to try and get to the code over the weekend if possible because I dont know when the cable will rock up. If someone in sydney could give me a lend over the weekend it would be really helpful, I can pickup and I can compensate you for its use. Id be highly appreciative, cheers!

*edit* lord I am stupid. On top of this if someone can simply recommend a place where I can buy one that would do as well! I dont really want to shell out damn near 200 bucks to repco for their hand held unit, being able to just pick up the cable would be awesome.
