91 turbo resurrection... steering wheel sorted, parking/indicator lights next..

Howdy folks,

How do I get to the rear/inside of the parking light/front indicator modules to change the wiring??
I had a look under the car today and I can't see any way up. The headlights are in the way from the top.
Do I need to take out the headlights?

Thanks,
Stu

Definately don't need to remove the headlights.

Some people (probs most) carefully lever the light module to remove the rear section with a screwdriver and a rag.  Ive not had to try it that way due to my underbody paneling being removed.

If you do a quick search I'm sure something has been mentioned in the past.

Here you go, also just noticed people didn't like my suggestion, but as I said my panel was off anyway...

I read that guide before but I don't like the idea of taking screw-drivers to the lenses, firstly because I'd probably scratch/crack/break them and secondly because they are aftermarket modules and I don't know if they actually come apart like the originals.

And it's the electrical connectors I'm trying to get to which I imagine are on the outside of the module, not inside where the globes are.
The parkers and indicators are not currently working and I believe it's because they're not connected or not connected correctly.
It looks like the parkers modules are directly below the headlights and would be accessible if the headlights were 'out of the way'.

That is the correct and only way of removing the lenses. They are in two pieces. The reflector which just clips in (the bit removed by the screw driver) and the parking light/indicator

Removing them does not get to the inside of the module.

I took out one of the headlamps today and found that the indicator module is actually quite hard to get to from the top. It would be easier from the bottom.
Taking out the headlamp was very easy, 5 minute job, tho realigning the headlamp cover was a pain.
Getting at it from underneath would have been more tricky because I don't have a hoist in my garage.

I had a go at removing the side reflector using a screwdriver and found this to be by far the easiest approach.
Once the side reflector has popped out,  there's just one screw that holds the rest of the module in place  (with a wedge like lever to hold the other end in place).
So taking the whole module out was a snap and getting access to the connectors was then very easy.
It's so very easy when you know how!!

The aftermarket clear lense modules that I had put in don't have two seperate globes for parking lights/indicators. It's got dual filament single globes :

    The connector is different :

Has anyone seen this type of connector before?
Is it possible to get an adaptor?
Are there any problems with the parking lights being orange?  (this would be the same effect as having all orange parker/indicator modules, which I've seen on some road MR2's - RWC problems?)
