Would a jap fuel rail work on a aus 3sge

As title says
My cold start injector fitting cracked and toyota don't supply them anymore and no wrecker has a csi hose and banjo fitting
So it's left me with the option of changing to a Japanese fuel ra to delete the csi I know the csi runs off a timing switch not controlled by the ecu but will everything match up? Will this work?
Thanks

Why not just plug the hole in the fuel rail where the fuel line for the CSI connects to???

Wasn't sure you could do that safely? How could I do that?

"I know the csi runs off a timing switch not controlled by the ecu"

I am no expert, but going by the Gen2 3SGE EFI schematic (see pic),  that may not be correct.

However as suggested, you may be able to get away with blocking the fuel rail port and taping up the connector.

I see, but by the looks the started is wired into the ecu and the csi switch is wired into the started as toyota told me it runs from a cranking signal and not directly controlled by the ecu

Yeah I think I'm going to just block the port, what do you mean by taping up the connector?

So blocking the rail didnt work. Just kept pushing the bolt out no matter what washer I had, (think port may be cross threaded no idea how it happened but I took it out and bolted it back in perfectly.. I spent numerous years working on bikes with my dad and doing some local work with a mechanic so I do know how to put a bolt in without stripping the thread, even tried a different bolt still wouldn't work.

So will a Japanese rail work? Will it all match up mounting points etc
Head location? Will it be a straight swap?

Does the thread in the rail still look ok, and can you refit the original banjo bolt and banjo and still tighten it up ok?

Are you sure the bolts you used were the right thread?

If you can get the banjo back on, you could get its outlet welded up and that will be a good seal.

Or if the thread in the rail is stuffed, you could retap a new thread and block it off.

    Cheers

Yeah pulling the rail off tomorrow got all the bolts out
Just need to get the egr hoses off proving difficult with the bottom manifold still on but ill get it, to difficult to take manifold off using only a jack.

    But question
How do the injectors sit in the block? Are they retained or should they just slide out with a little wiggling?

hey, found the jdm rail. sorry for the delay, thought you'd have success just blocking up the port so didn't bother last couple days looking.

here it is. the inj's will stay attached to the fuel rail when it comes off as the o rings hold them quite snug. they just have "cushions" that seal them to the head.

pm me your address and i'll express post it tomorrow.
