An excellent job done on my AW11 rust

Hey all, haven't posted in a while, but after being mightily impressed by a job well done, I thought fellow MR2 owners might like to use the same guy. There's an auto smash repair place in Midland near the big railway sheds, run by a guy called Lee. My dad got a little Honda of his fixed up by him and the job was really well done, so I thought I'd give him a go. My AW11 started rusting really badly, and in multiple places, and Lee said he'd do the job for a grand in cash.

I dropped the car off on Monday and picked it up on Friday. When I saw it I was seriously impressed - you'd never know anything had gone wrong or rust had appeared in the first place. The car previously had some shoddy rust work done, with badly matched paint, and rust that had come back worse (2 owners ago). Lee on the other hand managed to match the colour perfectly and do a really professional job in terms of welding, fit, finish, and goodness knows what else goes into such a job! Anyway, I can't remember the name of the business, but if anyone else is looking to get their rust fixed, I'll gladly give you his number - a seriously impressive workman.

I would be interested in the number, and some pics of the work if you have any?

Sorry for the delay, phone line problems. I'm afraid I didn't take any before pics (which would render the after pics redundant), as I wasn't expecting to be so impressed. As for the after results, well, think of an MR2 and that's what they look like! ;) I'm afraid photos wouldn't really help, as the only indication something has been repaired is if you look REALLY closely, you can see a change in the direction of the 'grain' (for lack of a better word), and that just wouldn't show up. If it's not against board rules, I'll post the details of the place here:

A grand in cash. I'll let you make your own mind up about that, but there was a *lot* of work done, and the work was done quickly, so it seemed pretty decent to me.

Hmm I need to decide whether to restore my little beast- she has a little rust in 2 spots maybe 50 cent sized. I was debating doing the minor rust repairs myself but might give this bloke a ring. Hope he's still there. Ta.
