Ok I'm fitting a new set of spark plugs. Any specialised tools that I need and any do's and don'ts

just don't cross thread the cylinder head and use a torque wrench if you have one ;)

Make sure you have a good fitting plug socket of the right size with  rubber inside to hold the plug.
Also put a smear of oil on the threads of the new plugs.

Use a spark plug type feeler gauge to check the plug gap.
Most have an attachment for bending the outer electrode if you need to adjust the plug gap.
