Sunday 16 September Run Postponed For A Week
 
Unfortunately due to unforeseen family circumstances with my aged parents the Run Manager and I have to make an urgent trip to Sydney starting today (Monday 10 September 2012) and we will not be returning until at least Monday the 18th of September. For the new members like Spyder it might help to explain that the Run Manager and I are married and the Club is a point of focus for the family.
 
We have therefore had to take the decision to postpone the Run planned for this coming Sunday and have it a week later on Sunday the 23rd of September.
The Run Manager and I normally conduct very detailed road recons prior to each Run but recent events leading up to this Sydney trip have prevented this from happening.
 
We have therefore also taken the decision that because all the preparation has been done the Run on the 23rd of September will be re-visting the Kenilworth route taken during the heavy rains earlier this year. We have just talked to people along the route and it is apparently now the total opposite to February with water having to be trucked in and all the rivers very dry.
 
I can only apologise if this change causes anyone inconvenience in their personal planning for the coming weekend (for our new members I am disappointed that we won't be meeting you for another week) but hopefully the recent change we made to only have the Runs on Sundays will help minimise disruption.
 
I will start the Roll Call for the 23rd of September Run once I get a better understanding of how things are in Sydney and what the short-term implications are for us as a family.
 
October Weekend Away - could I also please re-draw your attention to the need to state your interest in the planned overnight weekend run in late October as previously posted. We have two starters but a few more would be really welcomed.
