SEQUENTIAL M/T FLUID
Hi all. I'm desperate for some Sequential M/T fluid for my Spyder hydraulic shifter system. If anyone has some I'm more than happy to pay for it as I'm screwed without it.
Thanks.
Nick

Thanks mate. You don't have any left do you?? I have spoken with Toyota and there is none in australia and its 3 weeks to come from Japan. When you used it was it similar to dot4?? I thought it seemed more like gbox oil. Redline said they have a crossover to their MT90 which is apparently a 75W90 gear oil??? I'm just so confused and don't want to risk the system!? What u think?

as doufinkimsexy says dont use any gearbox oil. To what ive read over the spyder forums dot 4 which is a brake fluid is a good replacement but you must keep it fresh so you will have to change it more often than what you would with the toyota stuff. If you are worried best to wait for the official stuff from toyota!

I've been using Motul RBF600 as a top up in mine for some time now... Including two track days.. No problems what so ever.. Beside the fact that the clutch is on its way out, due to the extra load, turbo :) Eventually, when I get around to it, they recommend sucking out the fluid and replacing, doing that a couple of times so you get it all replaced, without have to re-blead the system which is a PITA!

Thanks guys.
Filled with dot 4 and seems to operate ok. But the car hunts when you accelerate from standstill. It's not clutch shudder it's the revs of the engine? And won't select reverse.
Any ideas?? So sick of this gbox. :)

Relean for the friction is: The procedure is as follows: 1. Warm up your car, until coolant temp guage is horizontal 2. On a straight stretch of road, put car into 1st and start moving 3. At an appropriate point, shift directly from 1st into 3rd 4. On 3rd, rev engine to over 3000rpm, then lift off throttle. Let car coast and rpm drop (without applying brakes) to below 3000rpm and downshift into 2nd. Again, let car coast in 2nd until rpm below 2000rpm. 5. Apply brake and stop car. Repeat steps 1 through 5 three times. The reprogram can be found at Spyderchat, if not I have it at home..

Hi mate. Thanks yet again.
I looked through spyder chat and couldn't find the actual reprogram procedure. Would it be possible to pass on the one you have at home?
Also can you do the relearn on stands? As I don't thnk it will drive that quick on the road?
