Anyone know much about Ringworm

Hey so I realized yesterday my "mosquito bites" where actually ringworm, I understand it's contagious and I'm using some cream for it but how contagious is it? Is it only skin to skin contact? Also anyone know how long it lasts? I've had it for about a week but only started medicating yesterday.

    RN said use this site
    http://www.dh.sa.gov.au/pehs/youve-got-what.htm
    or google it lol

"Ringworm can spread easily from one person to another. You can catch ringworm if you touch someone who has the infection, or if you come into contact with items contaminated by the fungus, such as combs, unwashed clothing, and shower or pool surfaces. You can also catch ringworm from pets that carry the fungus. Cats are common carriers."

"Skin medicine usually treats ringworm within 4 weeks. If your ringworm infection is severe or it does not respond well to self-care, it will usually respond quickly to antifungal pills."

along with that, My advice is that when you think the skin is clear of the fungus, continue treating for about 4 weeks. It's a microscopic organism, so your eyes are not a good enough detector to know whether you have killed all the bugs.

Ringworm isn't a worm at all, it's a fungus and easy to treat.

You can also get a powder to dust on to the infected area.

Yeah I got an anti fungal and the lady said once it goes away continue use for 7-10 days but she didn't say how long it will take to go away. And I'm just wanting to make sure I don't spread it to my cat and gf
