My mechanic just used some sliced up rubber hose (automotive at least!)... but I am going to get some of the Whiteline spring wrap at some point. Only for the rear springs though.

I don't know the diameter of the TRD springs and can't find the info on the net.  I did find out that Tein springs are 11mm thick on the rear and 14.5mm on the front, so you may need one pack of each type Whiteline make – K60950 (10-13mm)  & K60951 (13-18mm) if you want to do front and back. Each is enough to do two springs apparently.

Coil wrap:
Two sizes sounds about right. The wrap I got from Whiteline was black (small), but fit was not critical as it stretches.

I found the noise from the springs was like a caliper rattling loose with every bump.
If I reached in and tapped the upper part of the spring with my finger you could hear it resonate, as the upper coils touched each other.

Update:
So I ended up getting some of this Whiteline wrap black stuff and put some around near the top coils. It was actually a nightmare to fit as it wouldn't wind on smoothly and there is not much room behind the spring between the body. Took it for a drive and it did feel a *bit* smoother and quieter but then again there wasn't that much noise to begin with. I'll have to see what its like on a longer faster drive :)

The noise is coming from my exhaust. So either from the cat or from the legalis r. Looks like something I can't fix on my own :(. I'll just live with it for a while.
